senior corporate Designer, 8+ years
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate and drive all phases of interior design from initial design concept to installation.
Supervision and preparation of interior architectural package documentation (i.e. plans, architectural specifications, details, custom millwork drawings, elevations, furniture plan layouts and lighting).
Construction project management, including liaising with outside architects, engineers, contractors, lighting designers and other outside consultants as needed.
Develop space plans, layouts and elevations in Auto Cad and/or REVIT.
Select furnishings, material finishes, hardware and plumbing fixtures.
Produce material, plumbing, hardware, lighting and furniture specifications construction documents.
Coordinate and organize working budgets.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and to work within a team structure.
Review and document Construction Administration Submittals.
Attend client meetings and presentations.
Skills Required:
Degree from an accredited design or architectural school.
8+ years minimum experience working in a design or architecture firm specializing in corporate design.
Highly proficient in REVIT, AutoCAD, Sketch up, Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft Office.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and to work within a team structure.
Positive attitude with a strong aptitude for learning and problem-solving.
Creative thinking with excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
Excellent graphic presentation skills, including rendering plans and elevations and assembling materials boards.
Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
Ability to interact effectively with the design team.
Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, materials, and finishes.
Experience interacting with vendors and manufacturers.
Experience in production and coordination of construction drawing sets with knowledge of construction detailing, materials, methods, and codes.
Experience in understanding of major consultants’ work, and ability to interpret their plans and specifications.
NCIDQ certification/Certified Interior Designer preferred; LEED Accredited Professional a plus.
